Mental Health and Wellbeing

In Glantane N.S. we place Mental Health and Well Being of our children and staff asa our main priority. If people are not happy in themselves, they will not thrive academically or socially.

As part of our School Self Evaluation, it was only natural that we would select Mental Health and Well Being as one of our areas of development and improvement. After the uncertainity and stress associated with the Covid 19 pandemic, we as stakeholders in the school, saw the urgent need of self care and self love.

Our Mental Health and Well Being Programme involves:

A Well Being Journal

A Well Being Noticeboard

Feel Good Fridays e.g. Autumn Walks, Halloween Haunts, Christmas Jumper Day, PJ Day , trips to St. Abbey’s Well and Laharn Cross etc.

Well Being vocabulary is displayed in every classroom.

It is also planned for in our S.P.H.E. materials
